Tennessee AD Phillip Fulmer announces dates for Vanderbilt, Texas A&M games
The Tennessee Volunteers have had 2 games postponed due to COVID-19 issues. First, their game against Texas A&M was postponed.
Then, this weekend’s game against Vanderbilt was moved so that Vanderbilt could make up a game with Mizzou after the Tigers’ matchup with Arkansas was postponed due to the Razorbacks’ COVID concerns.
On Vol Calls on Wednesday night, Tennessee AD Phillip Fulmer revealed that the plan is to make up the Vandy game on Dec. 12 and face Texas A&M on Dec. 19:

Of course, there’s still a slight chance the Aggies could make it to the SEC Championship Game on Dec. 19, which would put that matchup against the Vols in jeopardy. For now, though this is Tennessee’s plan.
Honestly, since Kentucky on the verge of postposing this weekend’s game with 18 out from Covid and injuries, This weekend should be Florida vs. Tennessee in Knoxville. Both have 0 positive tests and at least it’s a rivalry match up. Anyone else agree or disagree?
I also thought that would be a good plan since Florida already has a game on the 12th and will be playing in the Cham on the 19th.

The Vols get a huge break with Vanderbilt, playing this game the week that Vandy has final exams. Vandy Final exams are more tasking than playing two football games on consecutive days. I don’t know how they will work in online situations, but they are normally 4-hour exams.
