Tennessee OL Tanner Antonutti's career ends following recurring injury issues
Tennessee has lost its fourth player of the offseason as OL Tanner Antonutti will medically retire, according to a report from the Knoxville News-Sentinel.
Antonutti joins transfers QB Will McBride and CB Marquill Osborne who have left the team and Quart’e Sapp who announced he will leave school early for the 2019 NFL Draft.
Antonutti’s dealt with recurring herniated disc injuries, which led to the decision to step away, a team spokesman confirmed to the paper. Antonutti will remain on medical exemption scholarship at UT as a student assistant, and not count against the 85-scholarship limit.
Antonutti signed with Tennessee last year as a 3-star prospect out of Nashville. He redshirted this season. His injury kept him sidelined from practice.
