Alabama won Friday night’s series opener over No. 1 Tennessee 6-3, but one UT reliever says the Crimson Tide doesn’t have a chance to take the series Saturday because the Vols are going to come out “hot,” fired up by UA’s on-field celebration.

“I think we are going to come back tomorrow hot,” Tennessee reliever Will Mabrey said, per Mike Wilson of the Knoxville News Sentinel. “They don’t really have a chance in my opinion. They were also partying like they thought they won the World Series. We will let them know how that tastes tomorrow.”

Two videos shared by the Alabama baseball team’s Twitter account show UA recording the final out and taking the field to celebrate handing Tennessee its first SEC loss.

Here’s how Wilson described the on-field scene at Lindsey Nelson Stadium:

Alabama players raced from the visiting dugout on the third-base side to celebrate the win… Catcher Dominic Tamez dropped his mask to the turf and ran to hug Crimson Tide closer Dylan Ray before the team fell into the typical postgame handshake line.

Game 2 is set for 6 p.m. ET Saturday in Knoxville. It will be streamed on SEC Network+.
