Tennessee is playing good basketball recently, as the men’s hoops squad has won 2 games in a row and has a 7-3 record in SEC play.

But, in Saturday’s win over South Carolina, forward Olivier Nkamhoua suffered an ankle injury.

Now, according to a Tennessee spokesperson, Nkamhoua is expected to miss the rest of the season (via 247Sports):

The junior forward is expected to miss the rest of the season, Tennessee spokesman Tom Satkowiak announced on Monday.

“After we got back to Knoxville, with further evaluation, that injury will require surgery,” Satkowiak said. “With that particular type of surgery, it is unlikely that he’ll return this season.”

Nkamhoua had started all 22 games for the Vols so far in 2021-22, averaging 8.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per contest.
