The Volunteers are actively recruiting another graduate transfer to join Jeremy Pruitt’s Tennessee program.

After announcing the addition of Stanford graduate transfer quarterback Keller Chryst, Tennessee could soon be adding his former Stanford teammate Terrence Alexander to the roster. Alexander, a defensive back, is also taking advantage of the graduate transfer rule and will be eligible immediately in 2018. He’s appeared in 27 games for Stanford over the previous four seasons.

If they both finish their careers in Knoxville, they wouldn’t be the only transfers Tennessee landed this offseason. Michigan State running back Madre London and Michigan kicker Ryan Tice have both announced they will join the Tennessee program this offseason, both as graduate transfers.

News of Tennessee’s interest in Alexander was broke by Austin Price of Volquest. According to Price, Alexander visited Knoxville over the weekend.

Alexander is a hot name in the graduate transfer market, as LSU is also actively recruiting him to join its program this offseason. Originally from New Orleans, Alexander would have a chance to return home by signing with LSU. However, Tennessee could have an ace in the hole with Alexander, as the Vols’ receiver coach, David Johnson, is also from New Orleans. Johnson is known as a great recruiter, particularly in Louisiana, and could be the difference in Alexander’s recruitment this spring.
