Tennessee reportedly signs OL Wendell Moe out of the transfer portal
Tennessee added to its offensive line room for 2025, signing interior offensive lineman Wendell Moe out of the transfer portal on Wednesday morning, according to a report by On3.
The mammoth 6-foot-2, 339-pounder visited Tennessee over the weekend after transferring from Arizona.
The sophomore is from Long Beach, Calif., so he’ll not only be starting next season at a new program, he’ll be doing it in a different part of the country after growing up and playing on the West Coast. Moe is a former All-Pac-12 selection whose abilities will now be tested in the SEC in 2025.
Moe could fill 1 of Tennessee’s starting guard spots in 2025. He was a 2-year starter and mainstay on Arizona’s offensive line and will have 2 seasons of eligibility remaining in Knoxville.
This could be a real impact signing for head coach Josh Heupel and the Vols for the next couple years, assuming Moe finishes out his collegiate career in Knoxville. In 2023, Moe was an All-Pac-12 selection as a redshirt freshman. Then Moe played 760 snaps as an anchor on the Arizona offensive line this past season.
Moe even started 3 games in 2022 but took a redshirt.
No matter how far Tennessee goes in this year’s Playoff, Moe will be stepping into a high-pressure situation in 2025 at an SEC powerhouse coming off a Playoff appearance.
