Tennessee is preparing for a College Football Playoff matchup against Ohio State. These 2 classic college football powers will battle in the first round with the winner moving on to play Oregon in the Rose Bowl.
Less than a week away from the matchup, the Vols released the uniform combination they’ll be wearing. The team is going with the all-white look for the much-anticipated battle in Columbus. The white helmet, white jersey, and white pants combination has been worn 4 times already this season and is the team’s primary road uniform.
So far in 2024, the Vols are 3-1 in games they’ve worn all-white in. The team’s lone loss in all-whites came on the road at Georgia. In other road games, the team has worn orange pants with white jerseys and white helmets.

This game will be the biggest game Tennessee has played in quite some time. This is the first time the Vols have made the College Football Playoff. Meanwhile, this is the 6th appearance in the CFP for Ohio State.
The Vols received the No. 9 seed after finishing the regular season with a 10-2 record. The Buckeyes got the No. 8 seed after also finishing 10-2. Entering the game, the Buckeyes are 7-point favorites in the game while ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) gives OSU a 65.5% to advance to the next round.
These 2 historic programs will kick off from Ohio Stadium on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET. It will be interesting to see if the cold weather affects the Vols, as the kickoff temperature is currently forecast to be 27 degrees.
