Tennessee WR Jimmy Calloway shares why Joe Milton stands out from other QBs
There are several reasons why Joe Milton stands out from the pack of quarterbacks competing for the Tennessee starting quarterback job.
He has starting experience at Michigan. He is 6-foot-5 and 244 pounds. But for WR Jimmy Calloway, it’s his arm strength.
“Not all of them throw different, to be honest, they all throw the same, except for Joe,” Calloway told reporters. “He’s different. But at the end of the day, they all throw the same, they all have the same goal, and it doesn’t really matter who throws to me. I just need it to be there.”
How does he describe Milton’s throws?
“Like a bullet,” Calloway said.
One of the bigger questions around Milton is how quickly he could digest the playbook since he came in later than the rest of the quarterbacks also competing for the job. Calloway also put that to rest.
When asked if he has to learn how to catch the ball differently from each quarterback @Jimmycalloway1 went with the company line…..until he didn’t. Big Joe can throw that pill! pic.twitter.com/1p1l77JsVz

Jimmy Calloway on the quarterbacks: “They all throw the ball the same … except for Joe (Milton) … he’s different.”
“How do you describe Joe’s throws? It’s like a bullet.”
“He came in and hit the ground like he was here all spring. He said he knew the plays, so he’s straight.”
