WATCH: Tennessee has flea flicker fail of the year
Tennessee is going to have to play better than this if the Vols want to hang with Alabama.
The Volunteers are still looking for their first SEC win of the season, and beating the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa will be an especially difficult task. The Vols are also making it harder on themselves with this disastrous flea flicker.
Tennessee ran the trick play to try and catch Alabama off guard. The play may have worked, but we will never know. The Vols receivers never ran their routes and instead stayed to block on the play.
The end result was predictable at that point as the Tide swarmed to the ball.
Here is a look at the play from @CBSSports on Twitter:

The Tide are out to a 7-0 lead after one quarter, and the Vols will need better execution on offense to keep this game close moving forward.
