Texas looked good in the game-opening drive of Week 2’s matchup against Michigan. The Longhorns started the game 3-for-3 on 3rd downs, including a few from 3rd-and-long situations.

For a moment, Texas converted 4-for-4 with Quinn Ewers throwing a beautiful touchdown pass on 3rd down against the Wolverines. However, that play was eventually brought back due to a holding call. Texas would be unable to convert 3rd-and-21, and the Longhorns missed the ensuing field goal to go empty  to start the game.

That holding call has since drawn a bit of interest from social media. Cam Williams was called for the flag, but many felt it was a normal block as he took the Michigan defender to the ground while finishing his block.

It’s fair to say Williams’ hand stayed inside the shoulders of Rayshaun Benny on the block, but it’s possible Benny was impeded from breaking out of the block.
