Eli Manning has been following his nephew Arch’s career closely. Now that the 5-star QB prospect in the 2023 recruiting class has chosen Texas as his school, excitement is building.
But, how does Arch stack up to his famous uncles, Eli and Peyton, when it comes to playing quarterback?
Eli spoke with the New York Post recently and named a couple of areas where Arch has the advantage over his Hall-of-Fame caliber uncles:
“He’s more athletic than Peyton or I,” Eli said. “Maybe a little bit bigger than Peyton or I, and so I think he’s got the ability to scramble around and run around — probably more similar to my dad (Archie) than Peyton or I.”
Ultimately, Eli said he’s happy the 5-star quarterback chose a school so now he can focus on his senior high school season:
“Now he can just go enjoy his senior year (at Isidore Newman School,)” Eli said. “Go play football and try to win some football games and be a great teammate and don’t have to worry about the next step. He’s going to a great spot, great history of football in Texas, and excited to get to watch him.”
We’ll see starting next fall if Arch can become the next Manning legend.
