Quinn Ewers decided it was time to move on from the mullet that college football fans have come to know. One of his teammates weighed in on the new hairstyle.

Ewers decided to go with a shorter haircut instead of the mullet for 2023. Tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders joked that Ewers looked like a whole new person.

“His whole demeanor changed after he cut that mullet,” said Sanders. “I don’t know what it was about that mullet. Whatever he did after cutting that mullet, it’s like a whole new person. He went from a kid to an adult, and it shows.”

Ewers missed a few games due to injury last season, but still played in 10 games for the Longhorns. He had 2,177 yards passing with 15 touchdowns and 6 interceptions.

It’ll be interesting to see if Ewers’ new haircut can translate into taking his game to the next level. This would especially come in handy against Alabama on Sept. 9.

Fans can see if Ewers’ new hairstyle will lead to more success in the passing game as the season opens with Rice on Sept. 2. That game will be broadcast on FOX at 3:30 p.m. ET.
