Vanderbilt’s quarterback depth for 2020 has just taken another hit as junior signal-caller Deuce Wallace has left the Commodore program.

Wallace announced his decision to move on from Vanderbilt on Thursday evening. The Tennessee native has one season of eligibility remaining should he transfer to another program.

The junior was given the opportunity to compete for the starting role in Nashville during training camp but ultimately lost that role to incoming transfer quarterback Riley Neal. With Neal having run out of eligibility and Mo Hasan also leaving the Vanderbilt program this offseason, the Commodores are down their top three quarterbacks from last season.

During his playing career in Nashville, Wallace completed 54 of 123 pass attempts for 401 yards with one touchdown and four interceptions.
