Vanderbilt lands first in-state commitment of the 2022 recruiting cycle
Clark Lea’s Vanderbilt program just picked up a commitment.
The newest member of Vanderbilt’s current recruiting class is linebacker Langston Patterson from Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville, who announced his commitment on Monday. Langston’s brother Kane Patterson signed with Clemson as a member of the 2019 recruiting cycle.
Patterson is the first Tennessee prospect to commit to Vanderbilt’s 2022 recruiting class, which also features Alabama native BJ Diakite.
The 6-foot-1, 215-pound Nashville native is rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 16 inside linebacker in the 2022 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. Patterson picked Vanderbilt over scholarship offers from Arkansas, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Duke, Notre Dame and Stanford, among others.
