With a massive rainstorm moving through the area during its game against Missouri, Vanderbilt had an embarrassingly-low crowd turnout.

That caught the attention of former Vanderbilt player Ryan Seymour, who not only took a shot at the crowd, but also Vanderbilt Athletics Director David Williams.

Beyond the weather, the disappointing seasons each team has had played a factor in the turnout. Missouri entered the game with a 5-5 record, while Vanderbilt was 4-6.

Missouri, at least, has some momentum following a big win over Tennessee last week to get within reach of a bowl berth. Coach Barry Odom reportedly said the Missouri coaches were looking for more tickets earlier in the week.

The capacity of Vanderbilt Stadium is about 40,000, but with swaths of empty seats, the turnout was far less than that.
