Vanderbilt is honoring men and women from the U.S. Armed Forces, and the special uniforms look awesome.
Vanderbilt is taking on the Kentucky Wildcats on Veterans Day, and the Commodores planned a Salute to Service for the special matchup. It was announced earlier in the week that the Commodores would wear special “Deep Water” uniforms for the game.
One feature that makes the uniforms unique is that the names on the jerseys feature the name of a man or woman who has fallen in the line of duty. The front of the jersey also features the patch of the corresponding branch of service that each person served in.
Vanderbilt Football shared video of the look prior to kickoff, and it truly is a special tribute:
Proud to honor the lives of our country’s fallen service members. #SaluteToService pic.twitter.com/UD5VgQz4uH
