Alabama’s injury situation isn’t getting any better heading into the College Football Playoff.

During the SEC championship game, linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton was taken to the locker room after injuring his knee while trying to defend a pass in the second quarter. According to Al.com, Hamilton suffered a torn ACL on that play.

Hamilton was replaced by Rashaan Evans after leaving the title contest, and Evans will likely be the team’s starter moving forward. This is a tough blow for the Crimson Tide as Hamilton was third on the team with 64 tackles and had two sacks and two interceptions.

Alabama was already without Eddie Jackson, and now it will miss Hamilton for the rest of the year.
