Alabama on the verge of its best recruiting class ever under Nick Saban
Since coming to Alabama, head coach Nick Saban has flexed his muscles on the recruiting trails considerably.
The Crimson Tide have routinely cherry-picked the top talent from all across the country. It’s led to four National Championships in the last seven seasons (and potentially five in the last eight).
4-star and 5-star recruits flock to the program. With Saban’s ability to win at the highest level — coupled with the amount of Alabama players being drafted in the NFL — the program essentially recruits itself.
Here’s a scary thought for SEC West teams (and the rest of the country): The current 2017 class might ultimately be the best Saban has ever signed:
From a rankings standpoint- Nick Saban is closing in on his best class in 10 years at #Alabama. Think about that. Six five-stars committed.

The highest rated recruiting class ever (USC 2007) had a rating of 301.22 in the @247Sports Composite. Alabama's 2017 class is now at 306.64

Via the 247Sports composite rankings, Alabama currently has the No. 1 class in the country. It includes four 5-star prospects, an eye-popping 15 4-star athletes, five 3-stars, and one 2-star (a long snapper).
A whopping 76-percent of the class is considered a great-to-elite prospect. Alabama isn’t done by any stretch, either. Despite having 25 public commitments, the Crimson Tide is still in the hunt for multiple big-time players — including DT Marvin Wilson, OT Isaiah Wilson, and DE Josh Kaindoh.
