Nation’s No. 1 DE LaBryan Ray commits to Alabama on National Signing Day

Alabama’s top-ranked recruiting class just got better.
Five-star DE LaBryan Ray has announced his choice of the Crimson Tide over Florida and Tennessee.

UA was long considered the favorite to land the James Clemens (Madison, Ala.) product, with all 36 Crystal Ball predictions on 247Sports going to the Tide. The site’s Composite rankings have Ray as the No. 26 overall recruit, No. 1 strong-side defensive end and No. 1 Alabama prospect. Ray was recruited by Karl Dunbar and Jeremy Pruitt.
Alabama now has 27 commitments, including six 5-star pledges.
