Following the Thursday arrest of Alabama Preseason All-SEC outside linebacker Tim Wiliams, Tide head coach Nick Saban issued a statement Thursday afternoon. Williams was arrested for carrying a pistol without a permit.

In a released statement, Saban had this to say following his star player’s arrest:

“This kind of behavior is not condoned in our program. We are currently in the process of reviewing all of the information. Once we have a complete understanding of the situation, we will determine what we need to do in terms of the appropriate discipline.”

The charge against Williams is a misdemeanor and he was released from jail after posting a $300 bond. His status for the upcoming Kentucky game remains up in the air for the time being.
