The Auburn Tigers added perhaps a big piece to the defensive secondary puzzle Tuesday.

Former All-Big Ten and Michigan cornerback Blake Countess is transferring to Auburn, according to his Twitter and Instagram page. He’s a graduate transfer, and he’s available to play immediately.

Excited to attack the next chapter in my life! #WarEagle #BoomEra

Just two weeks ago, Auburn saw three defensive backs transfer, and Countess would be a huge addition to a position that needs depth.

Countess made 30 career starts for the Wolverines and tied for the Big Ten lead with six interceptions during the 2013 season. In 38 games for the Maize & Blue, Countess registered 114 tackles.

Countess should compete for a starting job during fall camp.
