LSU sophomore linebacker Clifton Garrett has decided to transfer, according to 247Sports. He is reportedly transferring to junior college, and he has no plans of returning.

Garrett was a five-star prospect and the No. 28 overall player in the 2014 recruiting class. The 6-2, 230-pound Illinois native was a massive get for the Tigers during his recruiting cycle.

Garrett was largely projected as the third-team Mike linebacker entering fall camp. Kendell Beckwith and Ronnie Feist are Nos. 1 and 2 on the depth chart.
