LSU and McNeese State will wear special helmet stickers during Saturday’s game to honor those affected by Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita, brutally intense storms that rattled Louisiana and Texas in 2005.

Last weekend marked the 10-year anniversary of Katrina and the torment it left in its wake.

South Carolina and Florida will also don special helmet decals during opening weekend. The Gamecocks are honoring the nine victims of the church massacre in Charleston while the Gators will remember former athletic director Ray Graves.

Saturday’s game will be televised on The SEC Network at 7:30 p.m. EST. The 14th-ranked Tigers are heavy favorites.
