Four-star wide receiver Damarkus Lodge is one touted prospect who will end up at Ole Miss.

The dynamic wideout signed with the Rebels early Wednesday afternoon, adding himself to an offense in desperate need of playmakers on the outside beyond just No. 1 wideout Laquon Treadwell, who may leave for the NFL after next season.

Lodge, a native of Cedar Hill, Texas, chose Ole Miss over Texas A&M, which is loaded at the wide receiver position and got even richer with the addition of five-star wideout Christian Kirk, as well as the Texas Longhorns.

Ole Miss ranked fifth in the SEC in passing offense in 2014, but three-year starting quarterback Bo Wallace has since graduated and Treadwell is returning from a broken leg that cut his sophomore season short.

Lodge, an Under Armour All-American, is regarded as the No. 6 wide receiver in the class according to the 247Sports industry composite rankings. At 6-foot-2.5 and 190 pounds, he has great size, great hands and tremendous route-running abilities.

He’ll join five other four-star prospects in the Rebels’ current class.
