Today, we’re taking a look around the nation to see which coaches are the biggest winners, ranking the top-10 coaches in the nation by winning percentage. A few qualifications: coaches must have coached a minimum of 40 games, and we’re limiting this to the FBS level.

The FBS coach with the highest career winning percentage is Lance Leipold, but he hasn’t yet coached an FBS game; he won 94.8 percent of his games as a Division III coach before being hired at Buffalo. The coach with the highest winning percentage at the FBS level, Mark Helfrich, has only coached two years, leaving him 12 games short of our qualifications.

How many SEC coaches cracked the top 10? Perhaps not as many as you think.
