Six SEC staffs among 10 highest paid in the nation
Will Muschamp has no reason to be angry.
The Auburn defensive coordinator was the highest paid assistant in college football this year at a whopping $1,600,000.
According to collegespun.com, the highest paid assistant coaching staff was at LSU, bringing home $5,400,000.
Here are the ten highest paid assistant coaches in 2015:
- Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp, $1,600,000
- LSU offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, $1,519,734
- Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart, $1,501,500
- Texas A&M defensive coordinator John Chavis, $1,500,000
- Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables, $1,406,107
- Louisville defensive coordinator Todd Grantham, $1,303,000
- Georgia defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, $1,300,000
- UCF offensive line and recruiting coach Brent Key, $1,040,568
- LSU defensive coordinator Kevin Steele, $1,005,000
- Baylor defensive coordinator Phil Bennett, $981,540
Georgia offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer came it at No. 11 with $957,200 in total pay.
