Using numbers as a guide, here are 20 facts to consider heading into Week 3 of the SEC schedule:

  1. Leonard Fournette’s 387 rushing yards is the most for any LSU player through the first two games of a season.
  2. When rushing for at least 140 yards, Alabama is 71-4 since 2008. Two of those losses were to Ole Miss in 2014 and 2015.
  3. Last week’s 16 tackles for loss against Nevada was the most Texas A&M has accumulated in a single game under head coach Kevin Sumlin.
  4. Mississippi State is outscoring opponents in the fourth quarter by a margin of 34-3 so far this season.
  5. Missouri‘s defense has accumulated 41 sacks during its last 11 road games (all wins). The Tigers travel to Kentucky this week.
  6. Vanderbilt WR Trent Sherfield is coming off a 16-catch performance, which was the most receptions in a single game by anyone in the league since LSU WR Josh Reed caught 19 against Alabama in 2001.
  7. Tennessee has scored 138 points so far this season, which is the most during a three-game span to begin the season since the Vols scored 171 in the 1914 season.
  8. Arkansas is the only offensive line in the league to have yet to allow its quarterback to be sacked. The Razorbacks have led the SEC in this category in the previous two seasons under head coach Bret Bielema.

  10. Kentucky is 39-195-5 all-time against ranked opponents, and has not beaten one since South Carolina in 2010.
