Peyton Manning talks potential future Tennessee coaching job
Tennessee fans, make sure you’re sitting down.
NFL superstar Peyton Manning joined the Dan Patrick Show this morning, and he said something that will have Vol Nation talking for years.
Peyton Manning on the @dpshow now. He said it's unlikely that he coaches, but would consider being the @Vol_Football QB coach someday.

"Quarterback coach, I would to at Tennessee…head coach, no." – Peyton Manning on the possibility of coaching someday. @dpshow

Talk about a recruiting tool!
Who knows how long Manning has left in the NFL, and although we don’t know how serious he is, just the mere fact that he would talk about the potential of being the Vols’ future quarterback coach is outstanding.
Arguably the top NFL quarterback of all time, Manning’s playing days are numbered, and he’ll be gunning for another Super Bowl ring with the Denver Broncos this season.
His former team is embarking on a season where several project the Vols to win the SEC East, and Butch Jones is building a monster in Knoxville.
Jones actually looks like he’ll be at Tennessee for the long haul, and he certainly has a great relationship with Manning. Might we see a Manning-Jones combination in Knoxville?
How incredible that would be for the SEC.
