It’s certainly an exciting time for the state of Texas to be making serious inroads in the sports betting industry. That’s because the University of Texas is now confirmed to join the SEC in 2025, meaning college sports will go to a whole new level. With ample time to get everything live and launched, it’s likely that Texas bettors could have access to both online sportsbooks, as well as retail sportsbook locations when Texas kicks off SEC football in 2025.

While we have time to prepare, let’s cover everything as it pertains to Caesars Texas Sportsbook including a comprehensive review of the mobile sportsbook app, as well as the expected promos and bonuses for Texas bettors.

Caesars Texas Sportsbook Launch Details

Texas has yet to legalize the sports betting industry, however, there is good reason to believe that could soon change. State officials have been consistent in their efforts to pass the necessary legislation while public backing for legal betting continues to grow. With lawmakers exploring every avenue to green-light commercial sportsbooks, it should only be a matter of time before Texas bettors have access.

Early in 2023, newly drafted legislation was brought to the floor attempting to legalize Texas sports betting. Though the necessary votes have not yet been received, the push for sports betting in the Lone Star state should continue to gain ground.

Texas Sports Betting Information

There are a number of states throughout the country that have already legalized sports betting, however, Texas has yet to join the list of approved states. Attempts have been made to legalize both online and retail sports betting in Texas, but residents will need to wait just a bit longer for everything to get started.

When the necessary legislation has been passed, bettors in Texas can expect to see a variety of popular sportsbook operators to select from. Caesars Sportsbook has been one of the first to market in many states to this point, and there’s no reason to believe the Texas launch should be any different. Given the success already realized throughout the country, many bettors in Texas should already be familiar with the Caesars brand.

Users in Texas will have the opportunity to snatch up impressive promos and bonuses when the state launches online betting, including the trademark Caesars Sportsbook sign-up offer of up to $1,000 on Caesars.

Texas Sports Betting History

Beginning the push in 2018, everything got started after the Supreme Court repealed the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992. The federal law had previously prevented sports betting within the United States and created shockwaves through the industry when it was removed.

Although the power was now granted back to the state of Texas to deliberate on sports betting, things did not exactly move at a rapid pace. It took until 2019 for the in-state process to begin when Texas lawmakers introduced HB 1275. The bill did not receive the necessary votes to pass but was still an important first step for the state to take. Another unsuccessful attempt came in 2021 when HB 2070 was drafted, the initial push was hopeful but ultimately failed just as did HB 1275.

Even with multiple failed attempts, state officials have not been discouraged in their hopes of legalizing the industry. Getting things off to a fast start in 2023, Sen. Lois Kolkhorts (R-18) filed SB 715 and SJR 39. Those were not the only efforts of 2023, as Rep. Jeff Leach (R-67) also filed two bills attempting to legalize sports betting, HB 1942 and HJR 102.

There is good reason to believe the legislation introduced in 2023 could finally unlock the sports betting industry. That’s because part of the plan involved in these bills is to legalize sportsbooks via in-state professional sports franchises. If the legislation receives the necessary approval, an amendment to the Texas constitution will then be voted on during the November 2023 general election ballot.

Caesars Sportsbook Review

The following is Saturday Down South’s complete Caesars Sportsbook review:

User Interface

New users will find all their sports betting needs with Caesars, thanks to the user-friendly nature of the mobile sportsbook app. Caesars Sportsbook is available on iOS (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play Store) platforms, and it can also be accessed in a web page setting on traditional web browsers.

When bettors are ready to get started, they can click the white account icon located in the top right corner to log in. Next, a sign-in/sign-up screen will be displayed where users can enter their email address and password to log in or create a new account. After successfully logging in, bettors will find a useful scrolling menu of icons at the top of the screen. Clicking on any league or sports icon will display all the upcoming betting lines and games for that specific sport. There are also Live Betting and Boost icons to quickly access ongoing matchups or view available odds/profit boosts.

Near the middle of the screen, users can opt into a variety of available promos, many of which will be seasonal or available for a limited time. Utilize the four tabs at the bottom of the screen to access some of the most important areas of the sportsbook. These tabs are Home, Promos, Bets, and All Sports (search bar). The Caesars Sportsbook app is very easy to use and provides a clean operation for bettors of all experience levels.

Sportsbook Features

There are a handful of impressive features that help to set apart Caesars Sportsbook as one of the best available options.

Early Cash-Out

One of the most important features to be acquainted with is the Early Cash-Out. This is the best way to ensure winnings if you think your wager is going to take a turn for the worst. With Early Cash-Out, users can call their bet ticket and receive partial winnings before the conclusion of the game they have wagered on.

The Early Cash-Out feature is very helpful for parlay bets, as users can finalize their ticket and walk away with winnings before a last leg can break the bet. It’s also very useful in the case of an accidental wager, allowing users to cash out the ticket before the game starts and recoup the full value of the bet.

Live Betting

Another user-friendly feature for Caesars Sportsbook bettors, don’t worry when you miss the start of the game, Live Betting will provide the ability to jump in and wager at any point during the contest. Live Betting odds are constantly updating and changing to reflect the status of the ongoing game, and they offer some of the best value in sports betting.

One of the best perks of Live Betting on Caesars is that users have parlay capabilities. On many sportsbooks, Live Betting is only available to be bet as a straight wager, whereas Caesars allows users to stack multiple lines together to increase the odds in a parlay.

Same-Game Parlay

For some of the most exciting and profitable bets on Caesars Sportsbook, try out a Same-Game Parlay. The Same-Game Parlay allows users to pair together multiple betting lines from the same game making it an even more exciting, and potentially profitable, watch. Traditional parlays require bettors to stack together multiple lines from different games, but Same-Game Parlays keep the fun all within one contest.

There are slightly different rules regarding how Same-Game Parlays are calculated/paid out. The biggest difference is that if one leg of a Same-Game Parlay is a push, the entire bet is then a push. In traditional parlay bets, if one leg is a push then that leg is simply voided from the bet ticket and the rest of the bet is left intact.

Deposit Methods

Caesars Sportsbook is compatible with a number of safe and trusted methods for users to fund their sports betting account, including:

Bettors will also have the option to deposit funds in-person at available Caesars Sportsbook retail locations.

Withdrawal Methods

Users also have a number of options available to withdraw funds from their Caesars Sportsbook accounts, including:

It’s worth noting that some withdrawal methods can carry processing times.

All Sports On Caesars

Caesars Sportsbook provides bettors with a wide variety of different sports to wager on, including the following:

There are other subcategories within many of these sports as well, providing even more ways to wager on Caesars Sportsbook.

How To Register For Caesars Sportsbook Account

Prospective bettors in Texas are likely to have Caesars Sportsbook among their first available options when online sportsbooks go live. Texas Collegiate Sports Teams

Texas Professional Sports Teams

Fans of professional sports teams in Texas will certainly be delighted with the prospects of legal online betting. Given that Texas claims at least one team in nearly every major U.S. sports league, bettors in the Lone Star state should have ample opportunity to back all their hometown favorites.

Caesars Texas Sportsbook Expected Launch

Although Texas online sports betting has not yet been legalized, lawmakers remain consistent with their efforts to launch the industry. Kicking off 2023 with a bang, multiple new bills were introduced by Texas state officials in an attempt to legalize sports betting. The new 2023 bills are taking a different route to legalization, as they attempt to launch the sports betting industry through a number of professional Texas sports franchises.

When Texas eventually legalizes sports betting, there will still be a few necessary steps ahead of an official launch. First, the stat will need to appoint an approved commission to regulate the launch process, and that commission will need to approve licenses for potential sportsbook operators. Next, an official launch date will likely be set with a pre-launch period for prospective bettors to sign-up early and receive early action rewards.

States Where Caesars Is Available

While not yet available in the state of Texas, there are a number of states across the country where online sportsbooks have already been launched. Find out where Caesars Sportsbook is available as well as the status of legal online sports betting in a number of states, including:

The legal sports betting industry continues to expand across the country with more states passing legislation to launch commerical sportsbooks.

Caesars Sportsbook History

The move for legalized sportsbooks truly began in 2018 after the Supreme Court struck down the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992. Previously, this federal law had outlawed the sports betting industry, but the 2018 reversal gave the decision for sports betting back to each individual state.

Caesars already had an established status thanks to its presence in Las Vegas, and quickly moved to bring online sports betting services to newly legalized states. After rolling out the online sportsbook to a number of states in the Northeast, Caesars acquired William Hill PLC and committed to a relaunch of the mobile sportsbook app. Caesars continues to be one of the most popular selections for legal sports betting and should be a trusted option when Texas legalizes sportsbooks.
