Comments from Alabama head coach Nick Saban following the Crimson Tide’s 38-10 pounding of Georgia:

On difficulty coming back in rainy weather:

“We did not want to get behind in this game. We got them in a lot of third down situations, which is difficult for anybody. We were going to stick with game plan no matter what. Game plan was to run the ball given the conditions. Didn’t want to get behind.”

On the incredibly balanced effort:

“Scored in all three areas of the game. Couldn’t be more proud of our guys.”

On his message before the game:

“I told our players that the plan we had for them, ordinary men couldn’t get it done. We needed them to be extraordinary.”

On QB Jake Coker:

“Jake did a great job today. Changed protection a couple times. Changed field position couple times. Played with confidence. He managed the game well and got us in the right place.”

On the importance of the victory:

“We played our best game of the year but it’s one game, man. Haven’t finished a game like we’ve wanted to. I’m proud of our guys, but this was one game. I think we played our best game of the year obviously against a very good team.”

On the interaction between players from each team before the game:

“I was pissed off when the team was jumping around during warm ups. I got really pissed.”
