Florida’s trip to play LSU at Tiger Stadium is one of  Week 7’s most intriguing SEC matchups.

It is likely to shape not only the direction of the SEC West race, but also the SEC East. Fans of nearly every team in the league have some sort of stake in the outcome of this game as it pertains to how their divisional race plays out.

So while we wait for kickoff on Saturday, let’s take a look at some LSU players that everyone should make themselves familiar with prior to the game.

Here are five impact players to watch (in no particular order) as LSU tries to remain unbeaten against Florida on Saturday:

1. LSU RB Leonard Fournette – The Tigers offense has been powered by No. 7 for the duration of the 2015 season, and there’s no reason to believe that they’re suddenly going to change course with an unbeaten Florida team in town. It will be interesting to see how LSU’s rushing offense, which rates as the best in the league thanks to Fournette’s tremendous start to the season, competes with a Florida defensive front that ranks among the nation’s best at stopping the run.

2. LSU QB Brandon Harris – For as important and impactful as Fournette can be, Harris has the opportunity to be this game’s most impactful player. If he’s able to complete intermediate passes, keep the Tigers offense on schedule, keep the Gators defense from loading the box and occasionally hit a deep pass, then there is no reason LSU can’t win this game. Likewise, if he’s unable to do any of those things, Harris could impact this game in a negative fashion for the Tigers.

3. LSU LB Kendell Beckwith – The junior linebacker is the team’s leading tackler, and perhaps the defense’s most steady presence. In addition to stopping Kelvin Taylor and the Florida running game, the Tigers will likely need to rely on his versatility to help contain Gators QB Treon Harris as a runner, as well as monitor the intermediate passing game, which may be Florida’s go-to move with the change at quarterback.

4. LSU DT Davon Godchaux – If there’s an easily identifiable weakness to this Florida team, it is that the offensive line is shuffling a lot of young players into the lineup, creating some predictably inconsistent results. Missouri sacked Will Grier five times last week. If that opportunity continues to present itself on Saturday, it will be up to guys like Godchaux and DE Lewis Neal to put some pressure on QB Treon Harris, who will be making his first start in several weeks. From his tackle position, Godchaux leads the Tigers with five tackles for loss on the season and trails only Neal for the team lead in sacks.

5. LSU DB Jamal Adams – Even with the injury to Jalen Mills still lingering, the Tigers have an extremely talented secondary at their disposal for Saturday’s game. While the cornerbacks will have their hands full ensuring that WRs Demarcus Robinson and Brandon Powell, the Tigers are going to need a solid presence at the safety position against both the run and the pass. Both Adams and fellow safety Rickey Jefferson have offered that so far this season. With 21 tackles to go along with a tie with Jefferson for the team lead with two interceptions, Adams’ name could be called often on Saturday.
