Mark Stoops made yet another trip into Ohio, this time to pull a second running back commitment.

Zach Johnson (Cincinnati, Ohio) committed to Kentucky on Wednesday, becoming the 25th member of the Wildcats’ 2016 recruiting class.

Not rated by 247Sports, Johnson is listed at 5-foot-10 and 193 pounds.

UK also holds a commitment from Ben Snell, a three-star running back from the Columbus, Ohio, suburb of Westerville.

A compact runner, Johnson’s high school highlight video also shows a player well adapted in the passing game, as he often lined up as a receiver. That should bode well in the Air Raid offense.

Boom Williams returns as the UK starter at running back in 2016. He was one of the most efficient running backs in college football last season, averaging 7.1 yards per carry. Backups Jojo Kemp and Mikel Horton also should return, so Snell and Johnson may be waiting until 2017 or even 2018 to inherit a significant role in the offense.
