LSU finished the 2015 season with a record of 5-3 in the SEC. That’s a finish that didn’t put too many smiles on Tigers fans’ faces, and it nearly got their head coach fired.

But it’s a win percentage of 62.5 percent, which is a slight improvement on the Tigers’ all-time SEC record of 385-278-28; a winning percentage of .577.

LSU has winning records all-time against nine of the other 13 SEC teams. One of those the Tigers are below .500 against is Missouri, a team they’ve played only once in the program’s history. That, of course will change now that the two teams are in the same conference. In fact, they next meet on Oct. 1 in Tiger Stadium.

Another is Florida, which holds a narrow 31-28-3 edge over the Tigers.

Only two SEC teams have had their way with the Tigers. SEC West power Alabama is one (50-25-5) and Tennessee (20-9-3) is the other.

The Tigers have had their best success against SEC East foes South Carolina (88 percent), Vanderbilt (75 percent) and Kentucky (71.1 percent). The West Division teams have proven to be tougher to tame, although LSU owns a winning percentage against every one of them with the exception of Alabama.

Here’s how LSU stacks up all-time against the SEC entering the 2016 season.
