Tennessee is bringing in the director of recruiting at Miami to hold the same position with the Vols.

Eric Josephs, who guided the Hurricanes’ recruiting in each of the last three seasons, has been hired to fill the same role in Knoxville. He announced the decision Friday on Twitter.

“First, I would like to thank the University of Miami for the past three seasons. Met a lot of great people and friends there. I have accepted an amazing opportunity to work for the University of Tennessee as Director of Recruiting. I can’t wait to get started and work for this unbelievable football program and university. GO VOLS!!”

According to 247Sports’ Ryan Callahan, Josephs started as an intern for three NFL teams — the Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles — in different capacities.

Josephs has a connection to Tennessee, having previously worked with current Tennessee tight ends coach Larry Scott during his time with Miami.
