Nick Saban is arguably the best college football coach in the country right now. But ESPN’s Brad Edwards thinks Alabama’s head man is the best ever.

In a video posted to ESPN.com on Wednesday, Edwards compiled a series of statistics to back up his claim, pitting Saban against Alabama legend Bear Bryant and long-time Florida State coach Bobby Bowden.

Per Edwards’ numbers, the Crimson Tide has been No. 1 in the Associated Press Top 25 for at least one week in nine straight seasons; a streak five years longer than any other team has managed in the past 50 years. He also noted that Saban has just one less win against AP Top 5 teams than Bowden, though his winning percentage is almost double Bowden’s in a career spanning half as many years.

Saban has done all this while having 22 players with remaining eligibility get selected in the top 50 of the NFL draft, per the ESPN.com video. That’s enough for Edwards to declare, “Saban is already the greatest college football coach of all time.”
