Georgia running back Nick Chubb and Alabama each topped ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit’s lists for the top individual and team performances of Week 1, respectively.

The Tide rolled to a 52-6 win over USC at AT&T Stadium in Arlington Saturday. Alabama recorded 465 total yards, including 233 passing and 242 rushing, while holding the Trojans to 194 yards and zero touchdowns.

Chubb finished with 222 yards — a Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game record — and two touchdowns on 32 attempts during Georgia’s 33-24 win over North Carlina. The junior missed the Bulldogs’ final seven games last season recovering from a knee injury that occurred on Oct. 10 against Tennessee.
