Florida coach Jim McElwain announced injured quarterback Luke Del Rio will practice with the first team offense Monday during his weekly press conference.

Del Rio experienced a knee injury during the Gators’ 32-0 win over North Texas in Week 3 and has missed each of the team’s last two games. The redshirt sophomore started in Florida’s first three games prior to the injury and threw for 762 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions on 62 of 101 passing.

McElwain also updated the injury statuses of several other key players:

McElwain also gave praise to his offensive players, including running back Jordan Scarlett for continued effort after initial contact. Although he added that there’s still room for improvement, including on the offensive line, which he noted should not be given any more excuses.
