People have often characterized Alabama’s defensive players as ones who fly around the field.

Jonathan Allen took that description literally.

The 294-pound defensive tackle executed a perfect swim move over the left guard, jumped over running back Trayveon Williams’ cut block and drilled Texas A&M quarterback Trevor Knight in a showing of athleticism that explains why he’s near the top of NFL draft boards.

Allen’s insane play came on third-and-14, forcing an Aggies punt after the Crimson Tide started the game with a field goal. It was a huge opening statement from No. 1 Alabama’s defense as it jockeys for SEC West supremacy with No. 6 Texas A&M.
