Former LSU head coach Les Miles is being associated with many high-profile jobs — and for good reason.

He’s accrued 141 wins in his coaching career — including three division titles, two conference crowns, and one National Title.

One of those potential openings is the Baylor job. According to a report from CBS, Miles has emerged as a serious candidate for the job.

Miles has been very motivated during this sabbatical from coaching. He’s been studying film of innovative, spread-oriented programs as a means to evolve with the times. It’s something that became a big problem at LSU. Simply put, his offensive scheme became too antiquated.

He’s also looked into assembling a staff — including the attempt of unearthing young, hungry, up-and-coming coordinators.

A potential Miles-Baylor relationship appears intriguing. For one, the Big 12 is virtually up for the taking. There isn’t a truly dominant program within the conference.

Secondly, Miles has credibility. This will resonate with recruits — as will his preexisting ties within the state of Texas.
