On Tuesday, the University of Missouri released a statement on the committing of possible NCAA violations.

According to the statement, the school “received allegations of potential academic rules violations by a former tutor in the Athletics Academic Services area.”

An investigation will take place in order to fully comprehend and ascertain the situation.

When asked about it on Wednesday, head coach Barry Odom had this to say:

“I’m confident in our compliance department. We’ll be working with them, with the NCAA, whatever it is. We’re looking to move forward.”

Odom then went on to speak about the high APR rating and graduation rates surrounding his football team. In essence, Odom believes this is a direct example for how the athletic department is doing a great job in helping athletes succeed academically.

It isn’t known at this point as to whether these potential violations involve the football program or not.
