Texas A&M’s season has quickly turned sour, but two Aggies seniors will be going out on top.

Receiver Josh Reynolds and safety Justin Evans on Monday accepted their invitation to participate in the Senior Bowl. The yearly postseason NFL showcase is set for Jan. 28, 2017, in Mobile, Alabama.

Reynolds was Texas A&M’s second-leading receiver this season, catching 49 passes for 885 yards and 10 scores.

Evans, meanwhile, recorded 85 tackles (second-most on the team), five tackles for loss, four interceptions and six pass breakups as a senior. CBS Sports rates him as the No. 2 safety in the 2017 NFL Draft class and slots him as a second-round selection.

Texas A&M confirmed the news via news release stating the case for both Reynolds and Evans:

Reynolds, a wide receiver from San Antonio, Texas, is the Aggies’ team leader in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns with 885 yards and 10 touchdowns on 49 catches. His 18.1 per catch average is the best in the SEC among players with more than 45 catches and he had a team-best four TD catches of more than 30 yards. He is the first player in school history to log double-digit receiving touchdowns in multiple seasons and he’s posted a receiving score in seven straight games, which is a school record.

Evans, a safety from Wiggins, Miss., ranked No. 2 on the team with 85 tackles and led the squad with four pickoffs and a sparkling 28.9 kickoff return average (405 yards on 14 returns). During the 2016 season, Evans was named Nagurski Defensive Player of the Week and the Thorpe Defensive Player of the Week after the UCLA win and SEC Defensive Player of the Week after the Auburn victory. Evans posted double-digit tackles in four games in 2016, including a career-best 12 vs. Auburn and Ole Miss.
