What a week for the Razorbacks. Not only did Arkansas receive a National Letter of Intent from its top commit, Arizona Western College tight end Jeremy Patton, on Wednesday, the Hogs then landed the second-ranked junior college wide receiver in the nation, Brandon Martin, on Thursday.

Patton, who stands tall at 6-foot-6, 230 pounds, initially committed to the Razorbacks in June. However, other teams continued to press the top-ranked tight end up until he signed. In the end, Patton stuck with his commitment and chose the Hogs over various suitors, including USC, which made a late push to get him to flip to the Trojans.

Although Patton’s signing came as a relief, the news regarding Martin was a bit of a shock. Auburn, LSU and Mississippi State were all in on Martin, who originally signed with LSU before enrolling at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College after high school.

Martin (6-foot-4, 220 pounds) will line up next to a familiar face in Jonathan Nance, a 3-star wide out which also played at Mississippi Gulf Coast and committed to the Hogs on Wednesday.

While these three pass-catchers highlighted a whopper of a week for Bret Bielema and his staff, the Razorbacks also signed four other players on Wednesday.

Pro-style quarterback Daulton Hyatt (6-foot-4, 182 pounds), a 3-star from Attalla, Alabama, also signed after fielding offers from Ole Miss, Missouri, Miami, Louisville and West Virginia among others. A trio of 3-star offensive tackles—Dalton Wagner, Shane Clenin and Kirby Adcock—also signed Wednesday.

Of the three, Wagner’s size may give him an advantage to crack the rotation first, as he is a giant at 6-foot-9, 312 pounds, though both Clenin (6-foot-6, 285 pounds) and Adcock (6-foot-5, 280 pounds) will provide Arkansas with offensive line depth—something the Hogs desperately need.

The Razorbacks have an impressive crop of players signed, but they also have even more commits eagerly waiting to join the Hogs on National Signing Day Feb. 1.

Here is a look at Arkansas’ commits:

ATHLETES

Jarrod Barnes: The 5-foot-11, 167-pound Cabot, Arkansas native committed to the Razorbacks back in February, and he is expected to find the field at wide receiver. Barnes didn’t field any other offers after committing to the Razorbacks early.

De’Vion Warren: Warren flew under the radar while playing of Ouachita Parish, but Arkansas is hopeful he’ll develop into a playmaker after establishing himself as the No. 39 prospect in Louisiana in the 247Sports recruiting rankings.

DEFENSIVE BACKS

Montaric Brown: Razorbacks fans have high hopes for Brown, a 4-star safety out of Ashdown, Arkansas. If the Hogs are able to land Brown on signing day, it will be a huge get as the 6-foot, 182 pound safety has also received offers from Alabama, Auburn, LSU and Oklahoma.

Korey Hernandez: Like Brown, Hernandez is another safety drawing interest from numerous schools after committing to the Hogs in June. Fortunately for the Razorbacks, they seem to be in a good position to land the 3-star, who has also received offers from a handful of ACC schools, including Georgia Tech, Maryland and Wake Forest.

Jarques McClellion: The 3-star cornerback from Delray Beach, Florida, has drawn interest from schools across the nation, though so far he has stuck with Arkansas after committing in June. McClellion is rumored to have some interest in Michigan State, however, Kentucky, Louisville, Nebraska and West Virginia are among the teams hoping to land him.

Jordon Curtis: Curtis joins McClellion as the second 3-star cornerback which has already committed to the Razorbacks. The Jenks, Oklahoma native has also received offers from Iowa State, Kansas State and Purdue.

RUNNING BACK

Chase Hayden: If Hayden, a 4-star all-purpose back from Collierville, Tennessee, sticks with Arkansas, the Razorbacks will boast one of the most dynamic backfields in the country. The 5-foot-10, 189-pound do-everything back has received offers from Florida, Michigan, Louisville and Mississippi State among other schools, but he seems eager to join Rawleigh Williams III and Devwah Whaley next year.

Maleek Williams: Like Rawleigh Williams, this 3-star running back would bring size to the backfield. Maleek (6-foot-1, 215 pounds) gave his verbal to the Hogs when he visited on Oct. 7.

WIDE RECEIVER

Koilan Jackson: The Little Rock native is the fourth-ranked prospect in Arkansas, and he should provide depth to an already explosive receiving corps next year. At 6-foot-3, 207 pounds, Jackson has the make up to be a dangerous target out wide.

Maleek Barkley: The Austin, Texas native joins Jackson as another 3-star wide receiver in the 2017 class, however, Barkley could see some time at running back should he ultimately land with Arkansas.

LINEBACKER

Derrick Munson: The 3-star from Metairie, Louisiana, is expected to play outside linebacker for the Hogs. At 6-foot, 200 pounds, Munson will likely have to bulk up before battling on the edge in the SEC.

Josh Paul: Another 3-star outside linebacker from Louisiana, Paul committed to the Razorbacks after receiving offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Ball State and Tulane.

DEFENSIVE LINE

Troy James: With no other defensive line commits, James is one of the commits Arkansas desperately needs to hang onto. The Razorbacks’ front-seven lacked serious depth this season, and James (6-foot-4, 275 pounds) could make an immediate impact at strong-side defensive end.
