When looking at the non-conference schedule for Arkansas in 2019, there’s a distinct West Coast flavor.

The Razorbacks are slated to take on both Portland State and Colorado State at home. Wanting to complete the trifecta, it has been reported that Bret Bielema’s squad will also host San Jose State during this season.

The two programs have never faced one another in their respective histories. The date of the game is tentatively scheduled for Sept. 21, 2019. In terms of a venue, it’s undetermined as to whether the game will be played in Little Rock, or in Fayetteville.

Arkansas is still searching for a fourth game to complete the non-conference slate. After originally agreeing to a home-and-home, Michigan backed out. In fact, the Wolverines paid Arkansas $2 million for reneging on the agreement. This didn’t sit very well with Bielema — nor the Razorbacks’ fan base.

With these sorts of games, it isn’t likely that the Razorbacks will be making a return trip to California. However, should that scenario unfold, it marks for a potentially beautiful road trip for those making trek out from Hog country.
