Florida defensive back Teez Tabor has established himself as one of the best corners in the SEC over the past few seasons.

Tabor has terrific size and length, and also is blessed with great ball skills. For all of these reasons, the Washington D.C. native will likely be drafted in the first round.

However, this isn’t good enough for Tabor. Often known for his outgoing behavior, the defensive back made this statement on Sunday (per NFL.com):

“I feel like I’m the best overall player in the draft, not just the best cornerback. That’s just the confidence I have in myself and my ability to play football.”

Tabor’s stock dropped a bit due to his off-the-field issues. This included a failed drug test and a suspension based upon a dustup with a teammate in fall practice. Tabor had this to say for those questioning his ability on the next level:

“(I want teams to know) that I’m a changed young man. A lot of these teams, they have a report on me, about my past. … I just had some growing pains when I was younger. We all make mistakes in life, but it’s never really a mistake unless you make it two times. I don’t feel like I made the same mistake twice.”
