All of the Florida Gators’ student-athletes are “safe and accounted for” after Hurricane Irma, according to a statement from athletic director Scott Stricklin.

Stricklin said on Twitter Monday that Florida coaches reported that positive news to him.

Stricklin added that an “assessment of campus impact” is still ongoing, which could end up being significant news regarding the Gators’ home football game against Tennessee on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.

There has been tons of speculation throughout the weekend and on Monday as to whether the annual rivalry matchup will be able to be played as scheduled in Gainesville because of Irma’s impact.

It was reported by 247 Sports on Saturday that Atlanta’s new Mercedes-Benz Stadium could serve as a potential alternate location should the game not be able to take place at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. That report notes that officials want to make a decision on the game by Tuesday.

SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey confirmed in a statement Monday that UF is working with local authorities to assess the effect of the storm on the campus.
