Ticket broker Jeff Cook has run afoul of the law for allegedly overselling his allotment for Georgia’s game at Notre Dame last week.

According to Atlanta-based TV station 11Alive News, Cook was arrested by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office on Friday at his home in Eatonton. Cook was charged with selling sports tickets without a license as well as advertising sports tickets for sale without posting a license number. According to 11Alive, Cook was released Friday after he was able to make his $2,000 bond.

“We are actively continuing our investigation of the undelivered UGA/Notre Dame tickets as we go through the evidence we seized at his home,” Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills told 11Alive on Saturday.

And Cook isn’t off the hook yet.

According to Sills, Cook may be facing even more charges, including theft by taking/deception as well as racketeering.

The Georgia/Notre Dame game was the hottest ticket in college football this year, averaging $1,168 a pop.
