WATCH: Derek Mason was pumped up after Vanderbilt’s big home win over Kansas State

The No. 18 Kansas State Wildcats came to Nashville on Saturday night and left with their first loss of the season.

That’s because the Vanderbilt Commodores took care of business, dominating defensively and doing enough offensively to pull off the 14-7 upset.

Now sitting at 3-0 with a showdown against No. 1 Alabama coming up next weekend, Vanderbilt coach Derek Mason made sure to enjoy Saturday night’s victory, as you can see in the video below:

The Commodores are clearly for real this year, so Mason has a lot of reasons to be proud of his squad.

Next week, though, they’ll face their toughest test yet as the Crimson Tide visit town. Saturday afternoon’s game kicks off at 2:30 p.m. Central time and can be seen on CBS.
