O.J. Howard caught his first NFL pass on Sunday in a game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chicago Bears, so that was pretty cool for the former Alabama tight end.

But during the replay of the catch, an announcer made an interesting comment about guys in the NFL who played their college ball in Tuscaloosa.

“We always joke around … If you play at Alabama, you’re guaranteed two things — a national championship and a surgery.”

Is that true?

The national championship part certainly has been, but are Crimson Tide players actually prone to post-college injuries?

At least one broadcaster seems to think so.
