The Arkansas Razorbacks are trying to move on after a disappointing finish against Texas A&M.

The Razorbacks were in a good position after taking a late lead against the Aggies, but Arkansas left enough time on the board for A&M to kick a game-tying field goal with four seconds left in the game.

The Hogs would continue to battle in overtime, but the third touchdown of the game for A&M WR Christian Kirk gave the Aggies the lead. An Austin Allen interception on the ensuing possession then ended the game for a 50-43 Aggies win.

The Razorbacks are now 1-2 on the season and trying to put together a complete game, and head coach Bret Bielema says the team is angry after reviewing the A&M game film.

“Guys, after they watched film, were pissed about not being to capitalize,” said Bielema. “Did so many good things, did a lot of positive things on all three phases of the game…and then, when it really, really mattered, it wasn’t great.”

The challenge for Arkansas is to now take that anger into its preparation:

“I think we got an angry group preparing all week,” Bielema explained.

One positive Bielema does take away from the Razorbacks performance against A&M is how well the team responded to losing a key receiver.

“Jonathan Nance stepped up big,” said Bielema. “We lost our number one wide receiver. Jonathan Nance responded, Jordan Jones responded, I expect Dion Stewart to be able to respond…we’ve had a couple of setbacks, but guys have responded very, very well.”

Arkansas will face New Mexico State this week before resuming SEC play. Kickoff is set for 12 pm EST on the SEC Network.
