It was fitting in the eyes of Georgia for Nick Chubb to pass a Florida great in rushing on Saturday on the SEC’s all-time list.

Chubb had a big game against Florida with 13 carries for 77 yards and a touchdown by the end of the third quarter. That put him into fifth place all-time among SEC rushers, over Florida’s Errict Rhett.

It’s been a season of milestones for Chubb, who earlier this year went over 4,000 yards in his career, only behind Hershel Walker for career rushing at Georgia. When Chubb moved up in the top 10, he passed such greates as Emmitt Smith, Anthony Dixon and Charles Alexander.

Chubb now has 4,189 career rushing yards and is closing in on the top four of Walker (5,259), Arkansas’ Darren McFadden (4,590), LSU’s Kevin Faulk (4,557) and Auburn’s Bo Jackson (4,303).
